| She of the Dreaming Sky with CD with CD (Audio) |
|
(Paperback)
by Diane Randall
Pearls Collection
ISBN: 097405206X
BACCHUS
The wind blows elusive streams
of life my way, teasing over me,
sprinkles laughing in my hair on my nose,
spitting at my toes with pearly grit.
Soon I am cocooned by this heavenly gift;
I shine on the outside while I hide
inside the splendor of my shell. It?s all
nice and cozy, then
the mutation comes, painful, difficult (what
incarnation isn?t?) not pretty at all
like my swirling pearly shell.
I fumble blindly in half-congealed state
but cannot see beyond the fading light ?
oh, confining womb,
I want out! raised is the gossamer wing
striking blow after blow
against the matted nest; poking with feet
and forceful jolt, a tear is made,
sunbeams burst in and I drink profusely
freedom?s sweet nectar.

| An Outspoken Anthology |
| OUTSPOKEN Poetry Club was developed for these young poets and because of their amazing talent AN OUTSPOKEN Anthology is born. In this book you will see the promise of a young William Butler Yeats in Dean Shaban, or a Sonia Sanchez in Yejide Olutosin, Zack Feldberg will jump off the page and entertain you while Lauryn Brown is a quiet storm.
THIS POEM IS(excerpt)
This poem is like a ball of cosmic power
Of creative intelligence
It shakes, rattles, and rolls
This poem loves gentle soothing
And softness
Its joys seeps out and touches everyone
Its smiles are enumerable
Its embraces are countless
This poem is world-changing and famous
People want to claim it
It reflects happiness
And shadows joy
It is internationally known
But locally meaningful and truly respected
It is captivating |
